Error Activating

Question

I purchased Windows 11 Enterprise update on 10/17/24. Yesterday my computer had a message in the lower right side of the screen saying that I need to "Activate Windows". When I go to settings and click "Activate" it comes up with an error message. Error code: 0xC004C003. I purchased this upgrade from the Microsoft store and downloaded it. Why won't it let me "Activate" it??????

Michael, when you didn't specifically click on the "reply" button from MY message, I wouldn't be notified by the system that you have posted new comments. I was scrolling through all of the threads I was involved in and saw your comments. Sorry for the delay.

The command is actually DLV at the end. It is an L, not an i.

Anyway, the purchase detail actually helps anyway, so no need to rerun the command.

Try this:

You can go to Settings > System > Activation > Change product key

Disconnect internet, and disable any third party antivirus, key in the generic key instead: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T

That should get you to Pro. Once restarted, you can connect back to the internet, sign into your Microsoft account. See if it is activated.

Can you please type cmd in the search on the taskbar and hit enter to launch command prompt, then run the following command:

slmgr /dlv
