Missing DLL errors when running older games

Hello, I am suddenly running into errors when trying to run some older games on Windows 11. I have found this issue with Fable Anniversary and Dawn of War 2. Both were reporting issues with d3ds9_43.dll. I believe I was able to resolve this by reinstalling the redistributables, although I'm not sure exactly which thing fixed that issue because I tried multiple things.

Fable still has this error and won't launch:

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

The lack of the DLLs "MSVCR100" and "MSVCP100" can be fixed by installing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable". Probably the game displaying this error depends on it installed.

Download from the links below. I suggest you install both the x86 and x64 versions.

    x86: https://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/5/1...

    x64: https://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/5/1...
