I checked the same cable using a different laptop it connects in a jiffy.
I bought a external monitor but when i connect it using HDMI it shows cable not connected on the new monitor.
Please help me out here. Is there any other way i can connect my monitor to my laptop and please solve the display adapter problem:)

I have tried all different and various methods to update it but to no avail :(

Restarted my laptop, Force shutdown and then restart, Updating using the ASUS websiste. Tried all the methods

Error shown : This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter.

And similarly my nvidia graphics display driver is also not working it shows a Code 43 error

Laptop : ASUS TUF F15 FX506LI
Nvidia 1650TI 4GB
i7 10th generation
24 GB RAM

Please help me out here.

And if nothing avails will a external display adapter solve my problem to connect to a monitor ?

Tried connecting with c-type even that is not working. Last resort USB-HDMI and then installing a external driver

    Hello, this is Emily.

Install the driver from NVIDIA website instead: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/23...

Microsoft basic display driver is the generic driver, not the OEM driver.

After installing the driver, does it still show the same error code? Can you show me your Device Manager > Display adapters section?

That's the problem though - we don't want Windows to find driver for you because the one recommended is the generic driver, but you want the original one from manufacturer. I don't understanding, did you run Windows update in Device Manager? If so, that's not what I want, I needed you to install the NVIDIA driver by downloading it from the link I gave you.

Can you please send me the screenshot I asked for? I don't see it in your reply. Device Manager > Display adapters section
