I lost my laptop I was wondering what are the steps I can take now

    Hello, this is Emily.

    First of all, you would want to file a police report first with your local law enforcement.

    If your computer has location service enabled prior to you losing it, you can go to your Microsoft account https://account.live.com and go to devices to see if the location updates. There is limitation here though - if the computer is not turned on and connected to the internet, there's no way to track it.

    In addition, to protect your account from being compromised, lock the device from the same page above. And change your Microsoft account password.
