I have an old MacBook that can no longer be updated/supported...but it works great. It's stuck on High Sierra 10.13.6... my question is will Microsoft 365 still work on it if I buy it (2019). Thanks.

    Hello @Biene13,

I hope your question is still relevant. Please see the information below:

    Microsoft 365 for Mac

As of the November 2022 update (16.67), macOS Big Sur 11 or later is required to receive updates for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Microsoft Defender. If you continue with an older version of macOS, your Office apps will continue to work, but you will no longer receive updates, including security updates.

    Office for Mac 2021

Starting with the November 2022 update (16.67), macOS Big Sur 11 or later is required to receive updates for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote. If you continue with an older version of macOS, your Office apps will continue to work, but you will no longer receive updates, including security updates.

    Office for Mac 2019

Support for Office 2019 for Mac will end on October 10, 2023 . We recommend that you upgrade to Microsoft 365 for Mac or Office 2021 for Mac.
