My shift key worked for on my windows 10 laptop and then it stopped (the shift on the left, the right one still works). This is annoying because I type a lot and I use the shift whenever I input passwords, write codes in my games, etc. Please help!

    Hi ,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Does this happen all the time or only while using a specific app?

To fix this issue kindly try the steps below:

1-Try to use another keyboard if available and check if the issue still persists or not. If the issue still persists, it means the issue is software related and it is best to Update its driver from Device Manager.

If it did not fix the issue, uninstall the keyboard driver completely and download then install the latest driver from the manufacturer's website.

2-Try to connect the keyboard to another computer. If the keyboard has the same issue, it means the keyboard has hardware issues.

3-Try to connect the keyboard to another USB port to see if it works or not.

4-Change the keyboard layout and check whether the issue still persists or not:

5-If you recently updated your Windows, uninstall the update or perform a system restore.

6-use On-Screen Keyboard to see if the issue still persists with it or not:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/use...

Or, test your keyboard with this link:

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.
