2024-10-23T02:49:06+00:00 Hi Fred,
I'm Christine, I'll be happy to assist you. I can see here that your Fingerprint and Facial recognition are not working. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.
May I know when did the issue start? Is there any changes made before you got this issue?
Please send the make and model of your device. (Please press Windows key + R and type msinfo32 and hit enter, look for system model)
What is the error code that you're getting when trying to use the Fingerprint?
Did you recently connect a work or school account on your device?
Kindly check and follow the steps below:
- Please click Start menu and type Access work or school then hit enter
Select work or school account and hit Disconnect.
Restart your computer and check if the issue persists.
- Update or Reinstall the Biometric driver or Human Interface Device
Please press the Windows key + X
Then click Device manager
Kindly expand the Biometric driver or Human Interface Device
Right click driver and choose "Update Driver"
Select "Search automatically for drivers"
If the issue persists Choose "Browse my computer for driver" instead
and click " Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
Choose the older version.
If it will still the same, please uninstall the driver and restart your device.
Please let me know the result. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.
Thank you,
Christine L
