Hi,

Today I went to "cost analysis" for the resource group we are using for custom voice, and noticed the bill for "custom neural voice model hosting unit" is high. We don't need to have our custom voice model endpoints running all the time, so I have suspended them. Will that reduce this cost?

Try to move to F0 Pricing Tier that's in the azure portal > cognitive services > pricing tier.

Hello @Troy Rainbow , That's correct. You can suspend and resume your endpoint if you don't use it all the time. You will not be charged when suspended. When an endpoint is reactivated after suspension, the endpoint URL will be kept the same so you don't need to change your code in your apps.

Hi, the cost for custom neural voice model hosting unit seems to be the same, even when I suspend the endpoints when I am not using them. It's a very large bill as well, around $3000 last month. We spent over $8k on training so want to keep the model, but we don't need to use it to generate speech most of the time, and our research project may lose funding if we keep generating high bills like this.

Would you be able to offer any other advice that will reduce the cost custom neural voice model hosting?
