When disable integrated gpu the discrete gpu usage would be 0 percent. Whenever i load into games like Minecraft, Call of Duty, etc... the gpu usage would stay at like 5-15 percents and give me 1-6 frames per second. Also the cpu usage would stay at like 10-20 too. Does anyone know what is causing this? Specs: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13420H 2.10 GHz, 8.00 GB (going to upgrade to 16 gb soon) 4050 gpu (6gb) 1tb ssd.

    Hello, Foe2222

    Welcome to Microsoft Community

Thanks for your feedback. I read the information you provided. You mentioned that after you disabled your integrated GPU, your external GPU usage was too low when playing games.

I noticed that you are using the independent graphics card direct connection mode to output the display image. According to my previous experience, not every model of laptop can support this mode, so can you tell me your computer model?

At the same time, can you tell me why you want to disable the integrated GPU? Generally speaking, the system will automatically choose to use the integrated GPU or the independent GPU based on the size of the graphics pressure, and you don't need to manually select these.

I look forward to your reply

    Best regards
