Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Press and hold the power button on the case of your laptop for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down, wait a few seconds and then start your laptop again, is Windows then working normally?

Unsure if this is a hardware or software issue. I have a Dell Inspiron 16 running Windows 11 Home. Previously I have had issues with screen flickering, and had sent the laptop to Dell for repair. Dell sent the laptop back with the message “LCD HUD replaced,” however the issue still continues.
Today I tried organizing my files and moving my textbook pdf into a folder on my flashdrive as I had done previously. For some reason this made my computer completely unresponsive. I cannot click anything and I cannot turn my computer off. I need this laptop for university and my job. I am unsure of what to do now.
