Refresh rate goes back to 60hz after each restart

I recently got a new laptop with a 120hz display, however, every time I restart it, the refresh rate defaults back to 60hz and I have to go back into settings to fix it. Is there any way to prevent this so that the computer always starts set at 120hz? I have a ROG zephyrus G14 with a RTX 4060 and ryzen 9 with integrated graphics

Hi Kevin. My name is Ivan, and I am an Independent Advisor. I'd be more than happy to assist you. I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

    Windows Settings:

If possible, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel settings:

Open the NVIDIA Control Panel. > Look for the option to "Change resolution" or similar. > Make sure the refresh rate is set to 120 Hz and the "Allow the panel to select the best available settings" option is disabled.

You can also do this directly from the Windows display settings:

Go to Settings > System > Display.

(Make sure the correct display is selected and the refresh rate is set to 120 Hz.)

As an option, create a new power plan and set the refresh rate to 120 Hz for that plan.

In the Control Panel, look for "Power Options".
