File Explorer annoyance

Every time I open a folder with File Explorer I get the name of the folder with - File Explorer next to it.

I'm sure this was not the case before the update earlier in the week maybe I am wrong but I do find it annoying and distracting.

How do I stop the - File Explorer part showing?

Please help as this is really distracting.

This is actually looking like a Taskbar issue in that someone has decided we need to know that we are using File Explorer. Hence every open folder now has a - File Explorer extension next to the name of the folder that is open. It certainly does not help me and makes life harder. Please can I have a setting to disable this is Taskbar thankyou. File explorer is crashing multiple times a day as well as all this.

    Dear MichaelRoberts958!

I'm very sorry for the late reply due to my personal vacation.

I have noted that you were previously dissatisfied with the display in Windows File Explorer.

According to your feedback, there also may be some updates to the underlying logic of Windows Explorer that may cause incompatibility. Please try to update the latest update (some updates may have problems. You can refer to the relevant update issues of other users in the forum to make judgments before updating, but it does not rule out some updates with specific compatibility with your device). So please keep observing your device to confirm whether the system files may be damaged due to Windows updates. If so, we may need to further repair your system files, but don't be too pessimistic. The worst case is that we just need to use ISO files to replace and install Windows system files (i.e. in-place installation). Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,

    Dear MichaelRoberts958!

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

    Thank you for your feedback!

My computer is under Dev 27695.1000 version and the problem you mentioned also occurred. This problem occurred after the recent update, so I would like to ask about your current system version number, and then I will help you feedback the problem.

Thank you for your patience and support!

    Best regards,
