I got this new prebuilt from IBUYPOWER and less than 2 days in i started getting bsod's randomly while using it (As I'm posting this its been around 2 weeks), and then after it bluescreens will continue to bluescreen for about 5-10 times until it stops, and allows me to continue to use it. I'm planning on sending it back to get a replacement but wanted to see if i could fix it myself because the shipping time is long. it doesn't bluescreen in safe mode.

The only error message ive gotten once was process1 initialization failed

All the other times it shows the bsod for like a second then restarts

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello!

If the PC is in warranty, I advise you to send it back. Blue Screen may be hardware defect (defective part) or software (System). If it is hardware, you will need to send back to exchange the part.

Anyway, after analyzing the logs, I saw that there is a lot of error related to the NVMe SSD (stornvme). If you have a NVme SSD, this may indicate a possible problem in your NVMe SSD, driver or NVMe Slot.

I advise you to take out the warranty. You will lose less time and have less "headaches".

Hello thanks for the reply once more Lester, i believe i may have fixed the issue, i followed these instructions from another post that had my exact issue,

    Run CHKDSK

    1. Run Command Prompt with admin rights
    2. If Windows is installed on the default C: drive, run chkdsk c: /f /r. Otherwise, make sure to replace c: with the correct partition letter
    3. CHKDSK will ask you to schedule the task during the next system boot. Type y and press Enter to confirm
    4. Exit Command Prompt and restart your computer

This seems to have fixed it but if possible i would like to keep this discussion open if possible, until I'm sure it worked.

Edit: It has bluescreened again sadly. so i will try to upload the system logs

Hi, thank you for that information, in this case, can you please check the System logs on the PC so that we can further examine what is the root cause of the issue?

To do this kindly follow the steps from this link:

Hello thanks for the reply, yes i can still use the device but its very limited because it will bluescreen at any random time, either seconds after log in or a couple hours after log in. Also when i tried to find the minidump file you mentioned there wasn't anything named that in my windows.

I would also like to mention this just in case its usefull, it has never bluescreened until i logged in.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today, my timezone is UTC +8.

I understand the issue you have, nothing to worry I am here to help, and just to confirm can you still use the affected device? if so, we need to analyze the error, can you please check if you have minidump files on the PC so that we can further examine what is the root cause of the issue?

Press Windows key + E (To open File Explorer)

Click "This PC" > then follow the file path:

    C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy the Minidump files and save them to another location like Desktop or Documents.

Then please upload it to Cloud storage like OneDrive or any cloud storage you are using and please share the shareable link here.

To upload and share the link using One Drive:

Go to this link: https://onedrive.live.com/ then upload the file.

Then provide the shareable link by following the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/shar...

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

    Bernard
