SYNC or Backup Restore problem

I restarted my computer when I was dealing with a printer issue. When it prompted me to restore or make a backup, I accidentally clicked yes (or whatever the go ahead response was) and now my desktop has SO MANY MORE icons/files. It looks like it has synced with a couple of other devices but when I go to sync settings, it doesn't seem to be synced to these devices. Also, I can't open outlook and I definitely need that! Does anyone know how to fix this? I have already tried several things I found on the forum and nothing has restored my computer to what it was.

    Hello, Paxton Homes

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Hello, thank you for your feedback on your issue here. It appears that you are experiencing a couple of issues and I will advise you separately.

First, to better assist you, can I ask if the backup feature you mentioned is OneDrive or the backup feature that comes with the system.

Where did you view the synchronization settings, you can take a screenshot if you are comfortable.

Also, regarding your outlook not opening, can I ask if there are any errors reported, such as security errors you can share here. If it is not responding to clicks, you can go to the apps list and right click to open as administrator to see if it can be opened.

After that you can share some information here so that I can provide you the corresponding suggestions.

    Best regards
