Hello KTAJ, welcome to the Microsoft Community!

According to your feedback, you are experiencing the problem that your computer always gets stuck while playing videos.

I would like to check with you, do you only experience this problem when watching videos?

Or do you also experience this problem when playing games?

Also is your computer a desktop or a laptop?

Is the video on a web page or in a program both have problems?

You can upload the model number to me

You can try the following methods to troubleshoot first

You can try to go to the official website of the computer brand to re-download and install the graphics card driver.

See if it solves your problem

Meanwhile, you can do the following checks

    Try to repair your system:

    1. Search for CMD, find the command prompt, and select Run as administrator.
    2. Enter the following commands one by one, making sure to only execute the next command after the previous one completes:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    SFC /Scannow

    1. When the scan is complete, you can check the scan information to see if any problems were detected and fixed.

    Checking Memory:

Tap Windows+R, type MdSched and tap Enter to open the memory diagnostic tool

Tap Restart Now and check for problems

Follow the prompts, wait for it to complete, and check the report to see if any issues were detected.

    Check the hard disk:

Search for cmd and run it in administrator mode

    Type chkdsk c: /f

Wait for the check to complete and see if the problem is checked and fixed.

Disclaimer: Run chkdsk to check the file system and file system metadata of the volume for logical and physical errors. To avoid unnecessary trouble, please follow the above steps step by step and do not interrupt or cancel during the run, and make a backup of important data.

We hope you find the above information helpful!
