I am running windows 11 and using SPSS 18.5 client which was running well, however it is now running very slow, when I look at the C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp directory, the bin files are very very small. Do you know why there are so many small files and not a single large file ?

I don't know the software app you are using but as it is a temp folder you should be able to delete all files windows allows you to remove. (some may be in use)

Have you check their forum to see if anyone else is seeing a similar problem?

Also when the app was running correctly the temp files were large, in addition there are a huge number of these temp files being created with zero bites.

Hi, The problem is that the application is running very very slowly, so when I run multiple nodes it takes a long time, but if I run nodes individually it runs very fast. It looks to me that the application is not using the appdata store.

They are just temporary files so perhaps it's more likely to have many small files rather than less larger files. I'm using Windows 10 at the moment and that location has many files and folders of varying sizes.

What exactly is the problem you have, other than the size of files.
