I was trying to take a picture of something with the camera app on Windows 10 the other day, and I got this message.

As far as I can tell, my monitor has a built-in camera. My monitor is an Acer V206HQL.

The specific monitor I have, from what I understand, has a camera in the top of the monitor. Would a clean install of Windows 10 fix the issue?

A motherboard does not have a camera, the only place a webcam can exist is on your monitor or if you have connected an external webcam to your PC.

I think it is. Maybe my camera is on my motherboard, which is a Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

I checked the specifications for the Acer V206HQL monitor, I do not see that indicated as having a built-in webcam.

Is this your monitor model, if it is, there is no built-in webcam?
