windows Boot Issue

It took me almost 4hours to boot my laptop. Reliability monitor does not show me anything useful as to why the laptop didn't boot.

here is a dmp file where the error was "windows stopped working"

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1EowfBaICuNUU22iYdiALzjNChxFdCHCd?usp=drive_link also, m laptop's display died and i'm using an external monitor using HDMI which only works with the laptop's dedicated GPU, which means i can't see BIOS or safe mode since there will be no video output if the GPU drivers doesn't load.

Hi, if it is working fine now, you can go ahead and continue using it. Sometimes problems happen by chance (could be random electromagnetic or radiation interference in the environment) and do not mean there is any hardware damage.

If you want to end this conversation, you can click “Yes” below to accept my answer. I would appreciate it.

I tried going back to default voltages, its just more fan noise now.

anyways, here's my report after one day of laggy misery hell:

the laptop did not crash into BSOD, not even once. I've uploaded a screenshot of reliability monitor in the drive link along with the dmp file and 5 mini dump files according to 'reliability monitor'.

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1EowfBaICuNUU22iYdiALzjNChxFdCHCd?usp=drive_link

the only way i could get those windows crash is to launch a game called 'Honkai star rail', windows just restarts after a min.

also, if you can check this "Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.417.744.0) - Current Channel (Broad)"(its in the same screenshot), what even is this? why do i see this update every single day? is there a way to make it weekly at least?

(i'm doing the restore after this post, its a pain)

Thanks for the update, I need to correct my statement. What I meant was, please revert any tweaks to hardware voltage or frequency and leave the defaults as they are for now.

    thank you for the reply

I've done what you've told me to do and the computer is definitely running slower, it froze for 5-6sec during the welcome screen when i logged on.

from what i understood is that i wait for some BSOD and send the dmp file(s). I will do once i get at least 3 of them. also, I have ISLC enabled, should i turn in off?

about CPU or GPU overclocking, i'm limiting the CPU using throttlestop with -125mV with lower clockspeed cz it just shows a lot of PL2 limit otherwise; the GPU is also following a curve in MSI afterburner which caps at 1506mhz(base clock speed for my GPU) cz of overheating and i don't really need the OC.

hope i get to solve this issue soon.

also, I did a fresh windows install about 5days ago using my brother's laptop(inserting my SSD in it) could the issue be because of different motherboard. I made sure to delete unused driver from Device manager. well, let's see.

    Hello, I'm here to help.

The information you have provided indicates a problem with the system kernel, usually caused by a driver, which we need to verify further. Please first create a restore point for your system, then please refer to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardw... to enable driver verifier. In the third step select "Automatically select all drivers installed on this computer", wait for a couple of new blue screens and then collect 2-3 new dump files and share the new dump files with me.

If the computer has any automatic overclocking features enabled (including XMP, PBO, etc.) or manual overclocking, please restore the defaults first.

Driver verifier puts heavy pressure on the drivers in your system to troubleshoot drivers that are in poor condition or misbehaving. It is normal for your computer to run slowly after driver verifier is turned on. The computer will also crash more frequently and generate dump files during this process.

If your system fails to boot after driver verifier is turned on or enough dump files are generated, please restore via the restore point.

Please feel free to reply. This is not a live chat channel and I may be in a different time zone than you. As a result, replies may be delayed and I may respond minutes to hours later.
