Hi.

We have 35+ win 10 devices that updated to latest version KB5044273 and are experiencing trouble with the taskbar.
Taskbar suddenly disappears from the screen and is no longer visible. Users need to go into display settings and change scale from 100% to 150% and then it becomes visible again for a few hours, before it disappears again.

We have tried sfc scan/ DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth, but the problem occurs again.

Over 35 devices has this issue and we need help with this asap.

    Hi ;

I have the exact same issue ; but out IT administrators did not get any complaints from other users .. so I am trying to solve the issue by myself

As I uninstall the update , the issue disappears but due to the automatic update it is installed again ..

I don't know why but I think the problem is related to the graphic card My PC is a dell OPTIPLEX 9020 with two graphic cards ( AMD Radeon R7 200 and Intel HD graphics 4600) .. in case you have the same hardware ... !!!!

If I logout and re login the issue disappears for certain time ...

Could you please share; In case you find the solution ...

    Hello,andhoe

Welcome to post in the Microsoft Community.

Thank you for your feedback, we take the issues you are experiencing very seriously. In order to better assess the situation and help, we would appreciate your assistance in answering the following questions:

    • What is the specific operating system version you are currently using? Is it Professional, Home or Enterprise?
    • As an IT administrator, how do you perform system updates? Do you deploy and update manually, or do you rely on the system to push updates automatically?

In addition, according to your description, after changing the display ratio to 150%, the problem will disappear for a short period of time and reappear again. The problem may be related to the interference of a third-party program in the system, so we may try to narrow down the scope of the problem before we receive your reply.

    Ⅰ. Perform a clean boot

The steps for a “clean start” may seem complicated at first glance, but to avoid any hassle, follow them in order, step by step, and it will help you get back on track. The method is as follows

    • Tap Windows+R, type msconfig
    • Open System Configuration and select General tab - Selective Startup.
    • Remove the tick for Load startup items.
    • Go to the Services tab - click Hide all microsoft services in the bottom left corner, and then click Disable all.
    • Click OK and restart your computer. (Be sure to select Hide all microsoft services first, and then click Disable all, otherwise it may lead to unforeseen problems such as not being able to access the system.)
    • Check to see if the problem still recurs.

If the taskbar disappears after installing KB5044273, you can also temporarily roll back the system to the previous environment to observe the situation, which can determine the scope of the problem.

    Ⅱ. Using System Restore Points

    • Type Control Panel in the bottom search bar, then select “Recovery > Open System Restore > Next”, select the restore point before the system update, and then select Next > Finish.

Ⅲ. Restoring the environment through WinRE

    • Click the Start button in the bottom left corner of the screen and select Settings.
    • In the Settings window, click on “Update & Security” and in the left menu, select “Recovery”.
    • In the Advanced Startup section, click the Restart Now button. This will restart your computer and take you to the advanced startup options.
    • From the options that appear, select “Troubleshooting > Advanced Options > Uninstalling updates”.

After you refer to the above steps, you can share some information in this thread and I will answer your questions further. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

    Best Regards,
