Windows Corrupted File

Hello.

This morning, after my computer was on sleep mode, I turned it on. It showed the computer logo and after a second showed a popup that said "The trash file on /C: is corrupted, would you like to delete it" on top of a black screen. I couldn't click anywhere, not even the yes or no option.

Searching online I found a suggestion to reboot the computer three times to access WINRE. The logo showed up and instead of the pop I got a bunch of texts underneath saying things like opening this and checking that

Now it is stuck on Attempting Repairs, and it's been like this for a while.

What can I do if this never goes away?

Thanks

Hello. It ended up turning on and booting up like usual, although way longer. Thank you tor your reply. How can I prevent things like this from happening again?

Most likely Windows found corruption on your drive and Windows has now repaired that corruption, this should not happen again if the drive was repaired.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

From your description it seems your drive is being checked for errors, if it is, do not interrupt that process, please provide a photo of that screen you now see when you start your PC.
