i've tried everything but, it didn't work. I'm hesitant on system restore for now since this laptop is used by my family, too. I think it may be a loose connection between the motherboard and the display screen. I'm gonna go to the repair shop (curry's) tomorrow and see what it is and update. im rlly scared

    Hi Adaeze,

    I’m Vinay, an Independent Advisor.

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community!

I’m happy to assist you today.

If your laptop is jittering every 5 seconds, try these steps:

    1. Disconnect any peripherals (USB devices, external monitors) to see if the issue persists.
    2. Restart your laptop and boot into Safe Mode to see if the jittering continues. If it doesn't, it may be a driver issue.
    3. If you're considering a BIOS update, check the manufacturer’s website for the latest version and follow their instructions carefully.
    4. Run a Malware Scan: Use Windows Defender or another antivirus program to check for malware.
    5. Restore System: If the issue started recently, consider using System Restore to revert to a point before the problem began.

I hope this solution works for you! If you encounter any issues or have further questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.

    Best regards,

    Vinay
