Some of these 24H2 Cumulative Updates (or update previews) are released to public (non-insiders) and insiders in release preview channel and those ater available in Microsoft Update catalog.

Some updates, like KB5043178, is released only for insiders in release preview channel and those KB's arent acailable in update catalog.

    Hello Lilikura,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.

It seems that you did not receive the 2024-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5043178) through your Windows update settings.

According to the Windows Insiders Release Preview Channel article released on September 23, these updates may not be available to all users immediately as they are rolled out gradually. This update is not available on the Microsoft catalogue and currently, it can only be installed through automatic updates.

Based on the description, it appears that your Windows update may be stuck from the previous month, which could be the reason you have not received the update yet.

Have you tried running the Windows update troubleshooter or the system file checker utility scan to ensure that the update is being checked properly? Running these scans may help fix the issue.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N

It's unlikely you'll fid an update for version 24H2 as that version has not been released to the general public yet. It is still within the Insider Preview program.

What version and build of Windows 11 do you have installed. Are you registered as an Insider in windows.
