Windows Explorer - Empty folder identification

Windows Explorer -

Would like to know/see if a folder is empty without having to open it, click on it, or hover over it. Perhaps a simple folder icon change from yellow to clear, black, or the like.

Maybe there's a third party app. Not sure.

Thanks,

Rob

Dave - If it's some thing people have been asking for, for a long time, and it seems simple enough, it begs the questions, why isn't it done yet?

You don't need to answer that. I know.

I'll look at TreeSize but since I'm only looking for this functionality, then it may be way overkill.

    Cheers,

    Rob

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

File Explorer has never had the ability to show the size of folders, it is something people have been asking as a function for a long time.

There is no 3rd party extension that can be added to File Explorer to produce that function, but there are many 3rd party apps that can instantly show the size of folders, like the free TreeSize app on the Microsoft Store.
