I cannot get Microsoft support

Hi

I have a problem. I have logged several tickets online with this over the last week and every time the only option it gives me is to have someone call me. I go through that problem and no one ever calls me.

I have gone through a million ways to try and find online support or someone to call but it always ends up with this "someone will call you back enter your number" (which never works).

My problem is I purchased windows 10 a few years ago (2021), but never installed it. I now wish to do so but I don't have the email with the product key in it anymore. I purchased windows 10 online- so I went into my Order History but there is no product key available anywhere within the order history section. The invoice for the purchase is there but no product key. So I can prove the money was paid.

If someone could help me (or actually call me back) this would be amazing.

Thanks in advance

Hi Craig, I'm John, a fellow Microsoft user like you.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Please know that we’re all users here, so we can’t directly assist with account issues.

Did you purchase the Windows 10 product key from the Microsoft Store?

If so, it would be a digital license linked to the Microsoft account you used at the time of purchase. It won’t appear in your order history, only a receipt will be sent via email.

Are you seeing any specific error messages when you try to activate Windows?

Please ensure you’re signed into the same Microsoft account and run the Activation Troubleshooter here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/usi... (see the digital license section).

If the issue persists, please try reaching Microsoft Support via live chat using a Personal Microsoft account by following the steps below:

    Here is the link: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact

    > Type this keyword and press Enter: Contact Support.

    > At the bottom, click "Sign in to contact support" and sign in with your personal Microsoft account, or click "Contact Support" if you're already signed in.

    > In Product and services, select "Windows".

    > In Category, select "Technical support."

    > Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

If you ever find yourself stuck in a loop, please use the keywords "Contact Support" or "Live Chat" (without the quotes) and click "Contact Support" at the bottom.

Click "Reply" below to let me know.

    Regards, John J.D.
