Consistent BSOD - critical process died.

I’m having a real hard time with this one.

This is my 5th fresh install of windows 11, I’ve installed windows 10 before that too.

Summary - no error log is ever saved.

Boot, login and within 5 seconds screen becomes unresponsive but cursor still ok.

BSOD - critical process died shortly follows, the % complete always stays at 0 and I have to force restart it each time.

I’ve done the following:

Run appropriate DISM commands

Run appropriate SFC commands

Run in safe mode (issue still occurs)

Reinstalled windows from a fresh SSD (tried multiple)

Purchased brand new RAM and installed.

Checked everything is seated.

Laptop is a Dell Precision 5540.

The weird one about it on complete fresh install of windows it doesn’t do it for maybe the first 10 boot cycles, then it’ll do it once then it’ll do it constantly, but after a fresh windows install it’ll work fine for a few sessions, which confuses me the most?

Any help would be appreciated, but I’ve tried all the basics and I’m getting fed up of reinstalling windows every 2 weeks

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    From what I understand, minidump files are not being created, correct?

    Please do the following:

    Export and share the log for analysis:

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "Event Viewer";
    2. Expand "Windows Logs" and select "System";
    3. In the "Actions" panel on the right, select "Filter Current Log";
    4. In "Event level", check the boxes "Critical", "Warning", and "Error" and click on "Ok";
    5. Again, in the "Actions" panel, select "Save Filtered Log File As" and save in an easily accessible place.

    Then, upload the file to the cloud (OneDrive), choose to share it, and get the link.

    Post the link to the file here so I can have a look.

    I await your reply. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.

    Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers.

    See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and ALL drivers.

    There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system.

    Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced. At the end of the day shutdown, do not leave in sleep.

    Do NOT update from any other source inc Device Manager

    Dell support, specific to your Tag# even has diagnostics
