windows doesnt start anymore
Hey,
my Pc doesn't find my SSD in the bios any more after I did a Windows update and now my SSD cant be found.
When I insert my windows instal ISO on the USB and select restore windows, nothing works either, but when I go to install windows it does see the SSD, and that there is data on there, because it says there are 200gb free out of the 1000gb on the SSD (the amount of free space I had before it stopped working.)
So the SSD isn't found in the bios but when I want to install windows it's there, so I can reinstall windows, but I will lose all my data and I have to pay for windows again, which I'm just not going to do, I paid 150 euro for Windows 11 home, just for it to stop working after an update.
I hope to see a response soon,
Miron Lubberding

2024-09-08T14:57:49+00:00 Hey Dave,
my pc sees no bootable drives but if I go to bios, advanced mode and then ASUS EZ flash 3 utility I can see and explore my SSD with the stuff on there, so windows is there, but it's being annoying

If you remove your bootable USB, can you not access the recovery environment using these steps?
Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down
Do this twice
On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.
