Windows 10 Constant Crashing

I am experiencing random crashes when attempting to play Escape From Tarkov. The game launches fine and doesn't crash in the menu. However, when I actually start playing, it will last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour before randomly restarting. There is no error messages associated with the restart. My screen just goes black and the PC reboots as though I simply restarted it from the power options. Nothing I have done has resolved the issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thus far, I have tried the following:

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Windows
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
  • Stress tested all components while monitoring temps
  • Ensure all applications, drivers, and Windows are up to date

PC Specs:

  • Motherboard - z690 AORUS Master
  • CPU - Intel i9 12900k
  • GPU - EVGA Ftw3 3080ti
  • PSU - Corsair AX850
  • RAM - 2x16GB 6200Mhz DDR5 Corsair Dominator Platinum
  • Storage - 500GB 970 EVO and 2TB 860 EVO
  • Cooler - Corsair H150i

Hi, thanks for the detailed information, as per checking and analyzing the event files you have, there are general errors on the event files, moreover kindly follow the steps below for us to fix the issue:

We need to run a Clean installation of the Nvidia driver, this is different from doing DDU or updating the driver as this will remove all entries and replace them with compatible ones, kindly follow the steps from the link below:

Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

If none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...

    1. go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
    2. Select Download Now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    3. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    4. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    5. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

Additional note: If the issue persists, and since you have reinstalled Windows, I suggest removing the GPU and placing it into another PCIe port available, however, if all fails, I suggest contacting a local technician to physically check the device for any hardware-related issues.

Hi, thank you for that information, can you further check if you have more dump files on the PC? As per checking the Minidump files, it is only displaying general errors, in addition, can you please check the System logs on the PC so that we can further examine what is the root cause of the issue?

To do this kindly follow the steps from this link:

    Lester,

I appreciate the timely response. Attached are the two minidump files that I saw. After further troubleshooting, based on the info in HWmonitor, it seems as though there may be an excessive power demand when my system is under load. Not sure whether or not that is the culprit though.
