I’ve searched everywhere for an answer but can’t seem to find it so I’ll have to ask;

My Windows 11 laptop doesn’t have a wifi option, after a few hours of being turned off when I turn my computer back on it connects to the internet for maybe a few minutes and then all of a sudden the option disappears. This has happened to me once before however i cannot remember how I solved the issue

Thanks in advance

Judging by the behavior, the battery cable may have come loose or is not properly connected. Try pressing lightly on the cable to make sure it is connected correctly.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Sorry. There is no image in your post.

    See the article below for instructions on how to add an image to a post.

    In addition to the screenshot I requested earlier, please do this as well.

    The next time your Wi-Fi gets disabled, do the following before doing anything else. Even restart your PC.

    (If necessary, reproduce the conditions that cause the problem to manifest.)

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "Device Manager";
    2. Click on the "View" menu and select "Show hidden devices";
    3. Expand "Network adapters";
    4. If the Wi-Fi adapter is listed, right-click and select "Properties". Check if there is an error in "Device Status". If you see an error under Device Status, please share a screenshot.

    If you can't identify your PC's Wi-Fi adapter, share a screenshot of the network adapters.

    Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool. Or take a picture of the screen using a camera or smartphone and share it.

    I await your reply. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.

    Thanks for your reply David.

    To answer your first question, it was working perfectly fine upto maybe a week ago, then all of a sudden the internet option disappeared. And when i wake up or come home from school it seems to work for a few minutes but whenever i try doing anything it does the same thing and the wifi option just vanishes. Id like to note that this happened around the time i used a VPN so i was thinking that may be useful information for you.

    As for the information on the laptop here it is;

    I attached the image let me know if it worked

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

    You said your laptop doesn't have a Wi-Fi option. Does that mean the Wi-Fi is suddenly stopping working or that your laptop never had Wi-Fi?

    If your laptop never had Wi-Fi, you connect to the network via an Ethernet cable, right?

    Also. What is the manufacturer and model of your laptop?

    If you prefer, you can share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.
