Driver Changes Causing Styling Changes

I recently played a game (Ghost of Tsushima) on my Legion Gaming laptop running W11.

When the game fired up, I got a popup saying that although the NVIDIA drivers my laptop was using were good enough, I should update them for a better experience. Anyway, I went on NVIDIAs website, downloaded and installed a NVIDIA control panel to manage drivers, etc. At this point, I hadn't updated or downloaded any drivers. However, my Windows and Google text menus suddenly got very small, and I don't seem to be able to change them back. NB: This is NOT a scaling or screen size issue - I know how to change the text/screen size. I feel the drivers have done something to my system to cause this change. This has effected my right-click menus, my Google task bar and associated folders, etc. Everything else seems fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks. This is an example of the text that has gone really small for some inexplicable reason.

    Hi, rdwessex

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Thank you for your feedback. I need to confirm your question. You can send me a screenshot of the image with the text reduced in size, which will help me pinpoint your issue. Here are some troubleshooting options:

    Test in safe mode:

At the Windows logon screen, hold down the Shift key while selecting “Power > Reboot”.

After restarting, > Restart > Startup Settings > “Advanced Options Troubleshooting”

    Select 4 or 5.

Rollback the driver: Open Device Manager, locate your NVIDIA graphics card, right click on it and select “Properties”. In the “Driver” tab select “Rollback Driver” if available.

Adjust DPI settings: Right-click on your desktop, select “Display Settings” and check the “Scaling and Layout” section. You can also adjust the DPI settings in “Advanced Scaling Settings”.

Reset NVIDIA settings: Open NVIDIA control panel, go to “Manage 3D Settings” and reset to default settings.

Reinstall the driver: If the problem persists, uninstall the current driver completely and reinstall the latest version from NVIDIA website.

If none of the above methods work, you can try an in-place upgrade. This will refresh your windows and will not delete your data, but it is still recommended to back up your important data.

How to run In-place upgrade in Windows 11 - Microsoft Community

I look forward to your feedback.
