    Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply. Just to let you know that your great suggestion didn't work on my computer. I ended up contacting Microsoft and they took control of my pc to try and solve the issue, unfortunately they could not get me out of S Mode either.

They also tried to download the Microsoft equivalent for the printer software and that didn't work either, error came up. The advisor said that Microsoft technical will get back to me in a couple of days as to why I cannot download the Microsoft HP smart app. The only options I have is to completely reset my computer to get out of S Mode or wait for the technicians to hopefully solve why I cannot download their printer app. I am really shocked that I am unable to get my printer up and running. I was unaware of the implications of S Mode when I purchased the laptop. I doubt that I will ever purchase anything from Microsoft ever again. Thanks again for your help.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you are experiencing problems switching from S Mode to Windows 11 Home, some people have reported these steps may work to switch out of S Mode.

Open the Settings App, then go to System - Recovery.

Click the 'Reinstall Now' button in the 'Fix problems using Windows Update' section.

When that process completes, try switching out of S Mode.
