Thank you for the additional information. To better assist you, could you please confirm if the freezing problem persists after following the steps we discussed?

If you haven’t tried it yet, I recommend performing a clean boot. This can help determine if background services or startup applications are causing the issue. Here’s how to do it:

    1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type msconfig and hit Enter.
    3. In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab.
    4. Check the box that says Hide all Microsoft services.
    5. Click Disable all.
    6. Next, navigate to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
    7. In Task Manager, disable all startup items.
    8. Close Task Manager and go back to the System Configuration window. Click OK and restart your laptop.

After performing a clean boot, please check if the freezing issue still occurs. Let me know how it goes!

There aren't any sign of overheating or slow down. It happened when I was just watching youtube with steam opened in the background.

Hello James, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I'm here to help with your questions or issues. Just note – this is a place where passionate Microsoft users help each other, we don't work directly for Microsoft.

Did the system show any signs of overheating before it froze, such as excessive fan noise, high CPU/GPU temperatures, or slow performance? Has it happened again?
