One Drive issue

I deleted the One Drive from a previous employer from my computer and when I save something it constantly wants to save it to that one drive still. How do I get rid of it completely as I no longer work for them?

    I see, so, to restore the OneDrive folder paths, enable the backup feature.

    Right-click the OneDrive icon on the taskbar > Settings > Sync and backup > Manage Backup > Enable the Desktop Pictures and Documents options.

    To remove the employer account from the save on Microsoft 365 (Office) apps, make sure the employer account is not the selected account on the application, you can switch accounts in the profile icon on the right side of the top bar, select the three dots on the employer account > Sign Out.

    That did not take care of the business' one drive showing up.

    It took everything off my desktop that was saved in my personal One Drive that I needed on my desktop.

    Here is the picture of what I am still seeing. That needs to go away.

    Now how do I get my files back that I need on my desktop?

    Your user folders are still set to that OneDrive folder, you have to make some changes on the registry to restore the default locations:

    Delete the entries below:

    {F42EE2D3-909F-4907-8871-4C22FC0BF756}

    {0DDD015D-B06C-45D5-8C4C-F59713854639}

    Double-click the values below and change the value data to the value right below it:

    Desktop

    %USERPROFILE%\Desktop

    My Pictures

    %USERPROFILE%\Pictures

    Personal

    %USERPROFILE%\Documents

    Restart the computer to apply the changes.

    This will restore the default folder locations but will not move the files, you can find your files in the C:\Users\vollm\OneDrive folder.

    Hi,

    I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

    Open the Start Menu, type regedit and press enter.

    On the Registry Editor window, paste the path below on the address bar and press enter:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

    Please, send a screenshot of the Registry Editor window.
