Following Windows update I get presented with Bitlocker. When I try entering my key (recovered from aka.ms/myrecoverykey) the key field will not accept any letters. (4th letter of my key is D)

Hi Jon, I'm John, a fellow Microsoft user like you.

I understand you're having issues with your BitLocker key, and I'm here to help. Please note that BitLocker recovery keys are numeric only. If you're unable to type letters in the recovery key field, it's because BitLocker recovery keys consist of 48 numbers and do not contain any letters.

Have you already checked your Microsoft account online to ensure you have the correct key?

You can find steps in this Microsoft support article "Find your BitLocker recovery key" https://support.microsoft.com/windows/find-your...

Click "Reply" below to let me know how it goes. If the issue persists, please provide more details.

    John J.D.
