Im trying to play this new game I installed on steam and every time I launch, it says, "Running install script (Microsoft VC redistributable)" and after a few seconds it pops up with an error saying, "The following components are required to run this program: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime. I then go to try to install the 64x version and it keeps saying setup failed, I also tried installing it WHILE running it as administrator. I am stuck on what to do.

    Hi ,

This will do the following: it will end this process, you have to make sure that there are no processes left open.

Then repeat the process from here Reinstall using Visual C++ AIO after downloading, extract the install.bat file, right-click and run as administrator.

    Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

Well, you can do the following to uninstall all visual C++ from your computer using Revo uninstaller, a third-party application to completely uninstall visual C++ after uninstallation.

Open the on command(admin) prompt and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth , wait for the process to finish and restart the PC.

Reinstall using Visual C++ AIO after download extract the install.bat file right click run as administrator.

So I ran the commands and it told me everything and after that i went ahead and restarted my computer. After i restarted my computer I went to download from the link you sent me and I continued the steps you told me, extract, then run as administrator, it tries installing and it then fails saying that another program is being installed. it then opens another window saying that the microsoft visual c++ is being repaired, i also cant close the window. I think im doing something wrong.
