Flash drive issue

So when I'm plugging in my flash drive, it has 2 drivers that are completely unusable. When I try to access either of them, it says that they need to be formatted before I can use them. When I try to format, it says that "The disk is write protected". I have no idea what happened to it or how to bring it back to its initial state with only 1 driver instead of 2.

In that case, sadly your flash drive has failed if it is not working on the other PC also.

As requested, I plugged the flash drive in another computer and nothing has changed, it doesn't work on it either.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this,

USB flash drives are very volatile and they can fail at any time, even new flash drives fail.

Try plugging that flash drive into another PC and check to see if it works.

If not, there are 3 unrecoverable errors we get on flash drives 'Write Protected', 'Insert Disk' and 'You need to format the disk'.

You will find 'fixes' all over the Internet, sadly none of them work, the drive cannot be repaired
