Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update [Solutions]
THE PROBLEM:
When I opened File Explorer the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left.
How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?
Problem is looking like this (notice that there are only 'Recommended', 'Favorites' and 'Recent' sections):
Multiple possible answers:
a) UNCHECK SHOW ALL FOLDERS
- Right-click on free space in the left navigation pane to open context menu
- Uncheck 'Show all folders'
- Result (Quick Access is shown again in the left navigation pane)
B) DISABLE RECOMMENDED SECTION
- Click the three dots in the command bar and select 'Options'
- Uncheck 'Show recommended section'
- Result (Now when 'Home' is selected Quick Access is shown to the right)
Hope this helps :)

2024-09-13T18:32:56+00:00 With the second suggestion, Quick Access now shows up in the right pane. but I can't add anything to it. I've tried both right-clicking the folder I want to add and selecting Pin to Quick Access (repeatedly!!!) and dragging-and-dropping the folder. Both used to work before, now neither do.
As for the first one, "Select All Folders" was not checked. I checked it to see if doing so and then unselecting it would change anything. However, once I checked it, I could not get that menu to come up again so I could un-select it.

2024-10-17T22:50:32+00:00 It was good to see the Quick Access is still there, but the problem is, they have again taken away a functionality that a lot of people used.
I prefer it to be on the left but it seems that feature is gone, replaced by a useless Home button.
I can still pin to the Quick Access toolbar, it's just annoying having it in the main frame. I probably won't use it as often.

2024-10-17T23:16:06+00:00 Didn't work for me. I tried twice and made sure my dialogues looked exactly like yours.
I now have,
> Recommended
> Favorites
> Recent
In the right pane, and opening recommended doesn't show the same thing as quick access did. Not even close.
Did I do something wrong? Is there a step missing from the instructions?
