I have a microsoft account that is admin on my computer. 2 weeks ago it said I have to verify my identity. The problem is when i got this computer i logged in as normal with my password. Then now im logged in as admin on the account and have to verify. The problem is i cant access my old number, I know what the number is but i dont have access to it. I didnt remember to change phone number since i just logged in with password. But now when its locked I cant. Im so scared everything will dissappear if i got logged out of the account. I tried writing to the support and they wanted me to put passwords I have had and if I was logged into skype etc. But there came back a answer they dont have enough info for the account. Is my account just gone? It is NOT this account im logged into now.

I understand your frustration. It's difficult to recover a Microsoft account when you don't have access to the original phone number or don't remember all of the security information. However, there are a few things you can try:

    Additional recovery options:

    • Have you used other email addresses with this account?
    • Do you remember any security questions you set up?
    • Sometimes clearing your browser cache or trying a different device can help with account recovery.
    • If you have access to a different phone number, you can request that a security code be sent to that number instead.

    How to contact Microsoft support:

    • Keep trying different support channels (phone, chat, email) until you reach a human representative.
    • The more information you can provide about your account, the better your chances of recovery.
    • Let the support representative know that you have limited access to your account information and need their help.

    Legal Options:

Consult a Digital Rights Attorney: If you have exhausted all other options, an attorney can help you navigate the legal process of getting your account back. This is usually a last resort and can be costly, so it's important to carefully weigh the pros and cons.

I hope you find this information helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Emil. My name is Ivan, and I am an Independent Assessor. I'd be more than happy to assist you. I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help you.

    Possible solutions:

    1. Exhaust all recovery options:

    -Try different email addresses:

-Have you used other email addresses with this account?

    -Check for old security questions:

Do you remember any security questions you set up?

-Provide as much detail as possible to Microsoft:

-Be persistent with support and provide any additional information you can remember about the account.

-Consider using a different recovery email or phone number:

-If possible, try adding a new recovery option to your account.

    1. Back up data:

    -Back up important files:

While you work on recovering your account, make sure to back up important files to an external hard drive or cloud storage.

-Consider creating a new user account:

If you can't recover your account right away, create a new local user account to access your computer.

    1. Explore legal options:
    • Contact a lawyer: If you have tried all other options without success, it may be beneficial to consult with a digital rights lawyer.

    Additional tips:

    • Beware of phishing attempts:

Be wary of emails or messages that ask for personal information, as these could be scams.

    • Keep your account secure:

Once you regain access, strengthen your account security by using a strong, unique password and enabling two-factor authentication.
