Password issues.

I have suddenly started receiving ads in my Outlook on my phone. I have a 365 subscription, so why is this suddenly happening? I tried to login to my account to see if could sort this but it wouldn't recognise my password, so I got a code emailed to me and logged in that way. Then I tried to reset my password, and, as usual it asked for my old password, and then for me to enter a new one, twice, which I did. It said that my password was successfully updated (and sent me an email to that effect too) and the fact that this worked confirmed that I must have had the original password correct, otherwise, surely, it wouldn't have accepted the change? It then asked me to login with the new password. Again it wouldn't let me in. I know that I entered the password correctly, but I tried this several times, very slowly and very carefully, and still no joy. Then I went through the whole process again... Several times. Each time it let me change the password (so, again, the old password must have been correct) but it will not allow me login with it and I have to use a code every time. I really want my actual password to work just in case I find that for some reason I can't use the code to login. I've been mucking around with this for about 90 mins and am getting really fed with this rubbish. What the hell is going on?
