I have two users on my laptop admin and myself which are both me. I had forgotten that I set it up like that...as a back up and I have forgotten the admin pin and locked myself out. Any work around possibly?

Great to hear that you managed to reset your user PIN and regain access to your account! If you can access your user account and it has administrative privileges, you can reset the admin PIN through the account settings. Alternatively, if your admin account is linked to a Microsoft account, you can reset the PIN online through the Microsoft account recovery process.

    Thank you Anuujin,

I managed to reset my user PIN so I'm back in but yes I will try to rest my admin PIN too as I cannot remember it.

    Thanks

Thank you for reaching out! As an Independent Advisor and fellow Microsoft user, I'm happy to assist you.

If you have forgotten the admin PIN and are locked out of your Windows 11 laptop, you can try using the built-in Administrator account, creating a bootable USB with Windows installation media to reset the PIN or password, or using a third-party tool like Hiren's Boot PE USB stick. If all else fails, reinstalling Windows might be necessary.
