So an Asus built laptop will have a built-in licence in the bios provided by Asus. It should activate automatically. You need to contact whoever provided the new laptop.

A replaced screen should not affect activation. Who carried out the repair. Did they install windows.

Is it a branded laptop where the licence is provided by the manufacturer?
