Windows Update and Wrong Icons assigned to program - Broken Pinning of Programs in the Task Bar

Even after stopping the Windows Update that stalls after the 8% mark.

Task Icons for running programs are messed up. in the For example I use Opera and the icon was that of the terminal. More over if you try to pin them, no luck. nothing happens

Still a problem after reboot

    When was the last time it worked properly? Have you made any changes to your computer recently?

    Please try the following methods below.

    **Restart Windows Explorer

    Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

    Select the Processes tab.

    Scroll down and look for Windows Explorer

    Right click then select Restart.

    **Please try to run SFC and DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files.

    After that, restart your computer

    **Please try creating a new local administrator account then check if the issue persists.
