Hello,

For a couple of weeks I have been experiencing frequent blue screen crashes seemingly out of nowhere. It seems that it happens when the computer is still "cold" as in just turned on. It crashes for a few times than it works normally.

Event viewer says the following:

  • <Event xmlns="**http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event**">
  • <System> <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331c3b3a-2005-44c2-ac5e-77220c37d6b4}" /><EventID>41</EventID><Version>8</Version><Level>1</Level><Task>63</Task><Opcode>0</Opcode><Keywords>0x8000400000000002</Keywords><TimeCreated SystemTime="2024-07-13T14:30:32.4065840Z" /><EventRecordID>158394</EventRecordID><Correlation /><Execution ProcessID="4" ThreadID="8" /><Channel>System</Channel><Computer>DESKTOP-DM6482L</Computer><Security UserID="S-1-5-18" /></System>
  • <EventData> <Data Name="BugcheckCode">0</Data><Data Name="BugcheckParameter1">0x0</Data><Data Name="BugcheckParameter2">0x0</Data><Data Name="BugcheckParameter3">0x0</Data><Data Name="BugcheckParameter4">0x0</Data><Data Name="SleepInProgress">0</Data><Data Name="PowerButtonTimestamp">0</Data><Data Name="BootAppStatus">0</Data><Data Name="Checkpoint">0</Data><Data Name="ConnectedStandbyInProgress">false</Data><Data Name="SystemSleepTransitionsToOn">15</Data><Data Name="CsEntryScenarioInstanceId">0</Data><Data Name="BugcheckInfoFromEFI">false</Data><Data Name="CheckpointStatus">0</Data><Data Name="CsEntryScenarioInstanceIdV2">0</Data><Data Name="LongPowerButtonPressDetected">false</Data></EventData> </Event>

Based on the number of events the first time it happend was on 18/05/2023... Then one or two each month.

Now since 13/07/2024 I've been getting 3 - 5 a day!

Crash data seems to be the same except one time on 30/05/2023 there is little more written in Data Name; Everything else is the same...

<Data Name="BugcheckParameter1">0xffffffffc0000005</Data> <Data Name="BugcheckParameter2">0xfffff80138e28912</Data>

I have tried updating all the drivers, checked memory, updated windows, reset bios to default values, disabled overclocks....

Everything seems fine and nothing helps...

windows/minidump doesn't seem to be logging new errors, since last date modified was 30/05/2023?

Same with MEMORY.DMP

I have completely uninstalled the anti-cheat software and downloaded the latest available version of the Easy anti-cheat software but the crashing continues.

Today, when I turned on the computer it crashed 2 times with the same error...

    It produced an error message during restart that showed;

    A disk read error occurred

    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

    _

Do the logs show anything more?

Wow thank you for finding this!

The latest BIOS update for my Motherboard is dated Mar 09, 2018.

    I remember updating it.

Will try to reinstall the anti-cheat software.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Two of your minidump files indicate it is a virtual driver associated to the Easy anti-cheat software that is causing your system to crash.

Those anti-cheats are linked to the TPM on your motherboard, go to the support page for your PC or Motherboard on the manufacturers website, if you do not have your drive encrypted with Bitlocker, check for any BIOS update that may need to be installed

Then completely uninstall the anti-cheat software, restart your PC and download the latest available version of the Easy anti-cheat software.

Link to the minidump folder; https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/lk029kycvn2b1iwx4l6nk/AKXZYYdbxkQyfatr-Up0DYs?rlkey=5zjwxw8yri3rnsp6d1n7nachd&st=1mc4d2mu&dl=0

From what I've gathered it seems to be the hardware issue?

Is it possible to pinpoint the failing computer component using these crash dumps?
