BSOD CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED error

I am looking for some help solving a BSOD that has been happening for the past few days. For background, about 6 months ago, my PC kept having WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSODS which were 'fixed' by adding more ram (I was at 16gb, now at 48gb). A local computer technician suggested this. About 3 days ago, my PC blue-screened again, with the same WHEA_Uncorrectable_Error. I was on Windows 10 at the time, and I remember the technician recommending to upgrade to Windows 11 if the issue kept happening. So I updated to Windows 11 and now I will BSOD fairly frequently (every hour or so) while playing Final Fantasy 14. This doesn't seem to affect any other game, except it was also crashing on Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 zombies when I was BSOD'ing a few months ago.

The New Windows 11 BSOD is for "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" and I'm not sure how to fix it. I've looked at event viewer and for my most recent BSOD, the error messages are as follows;

  • The previous system shutdown at 12:04:25 AM on ‎2024-‎08-‎18 was unexpected.
  • Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation.
  • Audit events have been dropped by the transport.  0
  • The Secure Boot update failed to update a Secure Boot variable with error Secure Boot is not enabled on this machine.. For more information, please see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2169931
  • The inpoutx64 service failed to start due to the following error:  Access is denied.

The latest BSOD also had the following error codes in the top left of the screen;

0xFFFF850F4DD2B080

0x0000000000000000

Please let me know what additional steps I can make towards troubleshooting this, and let me know if there is any additional information that can help to diagnose the issue.

    Have you checked if any minidump files have been created in C:\Windows\Minidump so you can upload them for analysis?

    Hi Dave,

    Looking in the C:\Windows folder, I don't see a minidump folder, is there anywhere else I may be able to look to find it? Or is there a way to create a folder for it?

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    That error trace indicates dump file creation failed, please check in C:\Windows\Minidump to see if there are any previously create minidump files that you can upload for analysis.
