Acpi Bios Error

Hi,

Since I started connecting my caldigit ts3 plus to my msi prestige 15 a11scs and connected my monitor to the thunderbolt port on the ts3 plus I have running into acpi bios error bsod.

I did some testing:

When the monitor is directy connected to the laptop with usb c there is no problem.

I restarted the laptop 10 times.

When only the ts3 plus dock is connected to the laptop there is no problem

I also restarted it 10 times

When I connect the TS 3 plus and onnect the monitor with usb c to other thunderbolt port of the dock then I have the acpi bios.

I had it after 3 restarts.

I don't get any minidump file after the bsod eventhough I did everything to make it work.

I also connected the monitor with hdmi to an usb c dock: no problems.

It's like the startup combination of the ts3 plus and the monitor is doing something.

I already did:

Clean install windows

Ec reset

Cmos battery reset

Bios update

All drivers are up to date

The only thing that works to get passed by the acpi bios error is to flash the Bios with the same firmware it already has since it's the latest.

What could possible wrong?

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.

Is your system still crashing after re-installing those?

    Hi Dave,

Thank you for helping me out !

Yes I downloaded software and did the firmware update even though it was already at it's latest.

    Kind Regards,

    Aaron

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Did you donwload and install the Firmware for that device and the Intel Thunderbolt software the manufacturer of the CalDigit TS3 Plus device provides on their website?
