Monitor Power Settings

I recently installed two (2) new HP M22f monitors on my ~3-year-old HP desktop running Win 11. In the power settings on the PC, I have set the monitors to sleep after 45 minutes of inactivity. After the PC is booted up the monitors perform as the setting commands, but after they are reawakened they no longer go into sleep mode and will remain on for hours. Any suggestions on fixing this issue?

I believe that worked, I wasn't certain that I had executed the command prompt correctly, but it appears that I did. Thanks for your help.

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

My apologies about that. Sometimes, Windows does not recognize changes made in the power settings via the GUI. Using an elevated command prompt, run the following command to change the monitor timeout:

    powercfg.exe -change -monitor-timeout-ac 6

Please keep me know if this worked for you.

    Kind Regards,

    Charity
