BSOD when closing applications. Code: 0x0000003b

These couple days several BSOD have been happening, with a lot of different errors. I've used the DISM tool and the SFC scan, now, it seems that the BSOD have the same 0x0000003b bugcheck code. I have dump files saved (the last five ones, since the limit appears to be five). I've tried changing the XMP mode from Profile 2 to Profile 1, and, while booting, the system went into recovery mode, and then when I proceeded to the system, it crashed giving the bugcheck 0x139, but seems to be a one time thing since my computer restarted and I was able to boot normally.

Hi, I followed the guide you provided, and saved the files. I ended up with an .evtx file and a folder with a .MTA file, since I don't know which one you're asking, I'm going to share both of them:

    1. SystemLogs.evtx (.evtx file)
    2. LocaleMetaData (folder with the .MTA file)

Regarding my GPU, it's an GIGABYTE GAMING OC 4060. I'm currently using the 555.99 driver. I'd like to add that, after replying with the additional 2 dump files, my PC crashed another time, giving this dump file: 080724-7390-01.dmp. I'd like to point that this time, it happened randomly while I was using the device. Finally, I've closed all the background apps (those that appear in the "show hidden icons" on the taskbar, and leaved only the NVIDIA Settings (NVIDIA Control Panel) and Windows Defender. I've also disabled XMP.

Hi Jeorge, can you further check if you have more dump files on the PC? As per checking the Minidump files, it is only displaying general errors, in addition, can you please check the System logs on the PC so that we can further examine what is the root cause of the issue?

To do this kindly follow the steps from this link:

Hi, I know you haven't replied yet, but I just wanted to add that, in this morning, after replying with the dump folder, my device crashed another two times, the first one showing a usual 0x3B bugcheck, but the second showing a 0x0000007e bugcheck, which hasn't happened in a couple hours. Here's the link with the two dump files in question: BackupDumps2.zip.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, I can still use the device, the problem mostly occurs whenever I close a program that has been opened for a long time, such as my browser or a game that I've been playing for a couple hours (for some reason it doesn't occur with some apps, like Whatsapp, Spotify, etc.). I can still close my browser if I used it for a bit, but if it's been opened for a while (an hour or so) and I close it, I get a BSOD.

So, here's the link with the folder for the dumps: BackupDumps. I'd like to remember that one of these (the 0x139 one) happened because I switched XMP Profiles, and hasn't happened again since.

Hi Jeorge, thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, nothing to worry I am here to help, and just to confirm can you still use the affected device? if so, we need to analyze the error, can you please check if you have minidump files on the PC so that we can further examine the root cause of the issue?

Press Windows key + E (To open File Explorer)

Click "This PC" > then follow the file path:

    C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy the Minidump files and save them to another location, such as a desktop or Document.

Then please upload it to Cloud storage like OneDrive or any cloud storage you are using and please share the shareable link here.

To upload and share the link using One Drive:

Go to this link: https://onedrive.live.com/ then upload the file.

Then provide the shareable link by following the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/shar...

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

    Bernard
