Try run scan with Microsoft Defender Offline, have a look at Help protect my PC with Microsoft Defender Offline - Microsoft Support.
Let's say you installed Windows on the C: drive, try navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History and see if you are able to navigate there?
If yes, then try delete contents of this folder (only delete what inside and not the folder itself).
