Have you considered a Chromebook? Their big advantage is that virtually all of the operating system, and all apps, are in the cloud, where they are maintained by Google and beyond the user's reach. If disaster nonetheless befalls, a complete reset is fast and easy.
WINDOWS 11 BREAKS AGAIN
The latest in my saga of windows 11 problems and deficiencies .
Starts up with black screen . This after removing norton 360 software . Norton also likes to produce wonderful software . In this case
Norton simply forgot who I was . Three months into 1 year subscription and they tell me my "trial period has expired" . Countless hours getting no place
with Norton customer service I decided to remove their worthless service from my machine . I simply uninstalled Norton 360 and the PC booted up with black
screen . After several attempts to restart it suddenly started working again .....with no sound . Then after a while longer it stopped working again .
automatic repair does not work .
Ive been working with PC's since the 1980's and these last couple years have been a disaster .
Fortunately I still have all the parts ( and the HDD) to assemble my old windows 7 AMD fx 9590 PC . THAT WORKED TROUBLE FREE FOR 10 YEARS !
Come to think of it PC problems in general were rare until 2022 . That's just my experience .
Today a week doesn't go by without having to deal with some out of the blue problem brought on......not by broken hardware.... but ever changing "UPDATING"
software .
