Sending alert notifications from Oracle Enterprise Manager to Azure Monitor

Hi,

For a customer we are looking in the possibility to send alert notifications from Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to Azure Monitor (Log Analytics).

For sending alert notifications from Oracle Enterprise Manager to third party API’s we have

  • snmp traps
  • a custom os script
  • or email.

After some research the following solutions came up.

Oracle Enterprise Manager --> snmp trap --> OMS (Operations Management Suite ) --> Azure Log Analytics
Oracle Enterprise Manager --> custom script --> HTTP Data Collector API (still in public preview status ☹) --> Azure Monitor

Are there any other solutions that we can research/implement?

Because
The first one, we need an additional server, it must be setup up HA, etc..
The second one, is still in preview mode.

    Hi @Herald Roeleveld , Thanks for the post. I suggest going with option 2 so you can benefit from the latest and greatest improvements in Azure Monitor. IMO, there's no need to be concerned especially with this in Public (not Private) preview status but happy to hear why you think this is a concern. Also please share the link to the documenation that calls out the Preview mode and I will be happy to followup internally to see when this feature will be moved from Preview to Generally Availablility (GA) mode.
