I posted to forum already (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_11-performance/computer-shutting-due-to-this-how-to-resolve/84519789-0a27-435c-a6ba-c712426af168) and someone started helping me but seems to have disappeared

I have uploaded a zip of the dmp files (https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqfYI36jD4osgnY0sioozOHZ0paj?e=4Cq7oB)

The first bsod I got with driver verifier indicated the following

stop code: attempted_write_to_readonly_memory

what failed: dxgkrnl.sys

After that bsod i wasn't able to capture info from subsequent shutdowns. More recent shutdowns have not shown the blue screen

    Hi J,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

dxgkrnl.sys is related to the display driver. but the minidump files did not name any driver only indicating memory corruption (RAM).

To troubleshoot this issue, kindly try the steps below (Skip a step that you have already tried):

If you are overclocking your PC, try running everything (CPU, GPU, system memory) at their stock speeds. See if the issue is still reproducible. Or, turn off XMP profile or set it to Auto.

Download then install the latest version of BIOS & Chipset drivers from the manufacturer's website.

uninstall the display driver completely using this DDU free utility, then download/install the latest display driver or a driver that is compatible with your computer from the manufacturer's official website:

Try the provided steps and keep me posted.

Thank you. It's branded. Made updates and will use shutdown instead of sleep at end of day in future (I had been allowing to sleep most days). I'm having trouble w/ the sfc/DISM process, but hopefully will see an end to crashes from the updates and not using sleep.

Is this a branded PC or selfbuild?

    If branded see this

Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers.

See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and ALL drivers.

There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system.

Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced. At the end of the day shutdown, do not leave in sleep.

Then since its not a driver error run the sfc/DISM process
